Monday Quote: Maya Angelou

A quote from the always wise Maya Angelou (RIP). And as I sit and look back on my (relatively) short life, I realize the truth in her words; I have seen people showing me who they were, but I, either by naivetee or silly hope, wished I hadn’t seen.

But as I grow older and I look at the people in my life now, I think of her wise words and realize that I was correct in doing the things I did, some people didn’t need to be in my life, they were toxic and self centered to the point when someone else’s problem somehow it because all about them.

No, I will not be making the mistakes I made as I was younger and I will always keep her words in both my head and heart.

I’ve loved Maya Angelou’s work since I read it in school a long time ago. She was a very wise and talented lady.
